The ANS Safety Specialist is required to:
- Assist in implementing measures to mitigate incidents and accidents at the GAL ANS Units.
- Conduct safety related activities and investigations as directed by the ANS Safety Manager.
- Effectively administer and participate in a robust Aviation Safety Management System.
- Assist in the development of ATS safety programmes to continually improve the GAL ANS Aviation Safety Management System.
- Ensure SMS compliance with internationally accepted safety management requirements.
- Liaise with ATC staff to ensure safety programmes are supporting the operational needs of the business.
- Investigate all ATS related incidents, occurrences or accidents at all GAL ANS ADA Units in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
